Slope Foldable

Here is another Slope Foldable.  I like this one better than the first one I made because it fits into our composition books better.

Hi

I'm a teacher in South Africa and every year we struggle to teach functions really well. We're getting there with our grade 9 students, but I think your foldables will be a lovely finishing touch to the module.

Thank you so much for the inspiration and for sharing!

Hi Joanna, thanks for reading my blog. I think most US teachers would say that we also struggle to bring understanding to our 9th graders in Algebra I. I am excited about incorporating Interactive Notebooks in my classes this year and I am hoping they help my students retain and process new information.

Yay! I love getting responses to my comments!!

I will be blogging about my functions module soon, and also about my first attempt at using foldables... I'll send you a link then if I may, so that you can see your foldables (or close relatives thereof) in action on another continent :-)

Looking forward to the blog. Are you on Pinterest? I have been pinning lots of Algebra things that I've been finding. You can follow me at this link

Also. . . just wondering about some kind of technology relationship between our 9th grade students? Wondering if there is ever a time of year when we are studying the same thing and could maybe do something with skype where our students communicate with each other. Let me know if you are open to anything like that. I could talk to my technology specialist and see if we can make it happen. If nothing else, it might be fun for the kids to hear about the day in the life of an algebra student in South Africa.
